Davido, Osimhen top list of celebrities to be honored with national honors
The Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs has unveiled the list of 339 prominent Nigerians who will be honored with national honors in 2023.

The Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs has unveiled the list of 339 prominent Nigerians who will be honored with national honors in 2023.
Among the recipients are renowned singer Davido, acclaimed filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen. The awards include the Officer Of The Order of The Niger (OON) for Davido and Afolayan, and the Member of The Order of Federal Republic (MFR) for Osimhen. Terry Waya, a well-known socialite from Benue, will be conferred with the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
The national honors ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2023, where the recipients will officially receive their medals and certificates. This recognition is a testament to their significant contributions in their respective fields and their impact on Nigerian society.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Nigerian government has honored individuals from the entertainment industry. In the previous year, President Muhammadu Buhari bestowed national honors upon notable entertainers such as 2Baba, Burna Boy, and Teni.
The national honors serve as a means of acknowledging the exceptional achievements and positive influence of individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the development and progress of Nigeria. BREAKING: 27 year old Nigerian singer, MohBad is dead

Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, has passed away at the age of 27. The former Marlian Records signee was confirmed dead on Tuesday, and it has left the music industry in mourning.
The distressing news was shared by music executive Ovie on his social media platform, #Ovieo, on Tuesday evening.
He tweeted, “Confirmed. MohBad is dead. Sad, sad day.”
Furthermore, Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly referred to as Olamide, expressed his grief with a cryptic message on his social media handle.
He posted, “Damn! Mohbad (sic)” and in another tweet, he wrote, “This life (sic).”
Shortly after the news of MohBad’s passing emerged, an old video featuring Bella Shmurda surfaced online.
In the video, Bella Shmurda can be heard discussing MohBad’s recent battle with mental health issues, adding another layer of tragedy to the artist’s untimely demise.
