EPL: Bukayo Saka speaks on Arsenal winning title this season
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has admitted that the club now has a ‘great opportunity’ to win the Premier League title this season after opening up a seven-point lead.
Saka was one of the scorers as the Gunners beat Brighton 4-2 on New Year’s Eve while Pep Guardiola’s side was held to a 1-1 draw at home to Everton.
“[The seven-point lead] sounds amazing,” Saka told the press after the match.
“Of course at the start of the season if you asked us if we wanted this we would bite your hand off.
“It is a great opportunity we have [to win the Premier League title] – a great place we have put ourselves in.
“We are not focussing on that now.”
Arsenal’s next game is against high-flying Newcastle United who also dropped a point this weekend against Leeds United.
