Police Arrest Woman For Beheading Her 11 Month Old Baby In Cross River
A young woman identified as Blessing Eno has been arrested by men of the police force for allegedly beheading her 11-month-old son.
According to reports, the incident was said to have taken place on happened on Tuesday at Ugep in the Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, as the circumstances surrounding the incident could not be immediately ascertained.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo, stated that the woman had been arrested.
“Investigation is on to ascertain the reason for her action. But what we heard is that she is mentally deranged,” Ugbo said.
It was gathered that the police prevented a mob from lynching the woman by taking her into custody.
